Which Kubb set to buy?
I ❤️ Kubb! I’ve played with quite some different Kubb sets over the years and know exactly what factors make a good set “a good set”. If you scroll down you see a list with my recommendations, based on these factors.
But to be honest: it actually doesn’t really matter what kind of set you play Kubb with: the game is always a lot of fun, whatever set you use for playing! But if you like to keep improving on your throw, it might come in handy to play with the same Kubb set (with the same weight) all the time. This is the reason why I prefer a Kubb set with original dimensions and weights.
Playing with kids? make sure you buy a slightly smaller (and lighter) Kubb set. The official weights are quite heavy for kids. Another possibility is to play a game variant with children. That is also possible with a Kubb set which has the official weight, so buying a set with official dimensions would still be my preferred choice.
If you have a set without a carrying bag or crate, don’t worry, there are carrying bags you can purchase separately to carry your set around.
