A very nice variation on the game Kubb
Mölkky, also called Number Kubb, is a new variant of the popular game Kubb. There are very nice sets available and there are already official tounrmaents for Number Kubb.
Molkky game explanation
The aim of the game Möllky is to be the first to reach 50 points. You do this by knocking over the numbered posts with the throwing stick (the Möllky). The numbers on the thrown-over posts are added as score. When you have more then 50 points (by knocking down too many posts), your score becomes 25 and you can try to get 50 points in your next turn.
Mölkky: a didactic game!
I think Mölkky is a very nice game to play with children. The dynamics are very different from Kubb, but it’s just as strategic. Mölkky is a real didactic game by the way: it is a very good way to improve mental arithmetic while playing! The nice thing is that you can play it with alot of people at the same time.
